The Bésian Flag

Official flag of Bésa
Overview
The current version of the Bésian flag was introduced in 1873 when the after it was decided that the previous design, which had been in use since the 15th century, was outdated and no longer aligned with the country’s citizen’s overall values.
The original Bésian flag was very similar but instead of the simple gold circle of the current design, it featured an uroboros, or ouroboros in English. The uroboros is a serpent eating its own tail, a symbol originating in Greece and Ancient Egypt.

Original flag of Bésa
The modern flag features a simple gold ring or circle in the top-left corner, which represents the oneness of the people. The gold colour is symbolic of the value of all people, together in oneness. Finally, the green background of the flag is representative of the forest-dwelling origins of elvish culture.
